Wondering where to stay when you visit?! Wonder no more! New Orleans is full of beautiful hotels to host you (and, if you choose, your family and friends!) during your wedding weekend. Here are my favorite four hotels in New Orleans!
The Eliza Jane downtown was originally a newspaper and there are so many sweet details of that history they’ve paid homage to. There’s a killer restaurant (Couvant) on the first floor, and incredibly luxurious bathtubs on the top floor. Another perk, it’s part of the Hyatt family – so you can use points to stay here!
The Catahoula, also downtown, has fun and simple rooms with an adorable courtyard and bar downstairs. I love that it’s no frills, but has everything that you need and is priced extremely reasonably. There are two bars to choose from – a pisco bar downstairs that opens to a courtyard, and a rooftop bar that also hosts events!
The Sully Mansion in the garden district is a total dream – delicious breakfast, a block off the streetcar line, two adorable pups that live on the premises, in a truly New Orleans home. I used to live a couple blocks away from the Sully, and my pup and I would walk by every day! The innkeeper Melinda is a lovely person with an incredible sense of design (she lives on the very tip top floor, and you can see her home featured in Apartment Therapy!).
The Ace has hotels in many major cities, and they do a great job of making each hotel fit in with each particular culture it’s in. The Ace has an amazing rooftop pool, a Stumptown Coffee, the incredible Josephine Estelle restaurant (my absolute favorite dish is the bucatini), and a music venue called Three Keys that allows you to see New Orleans music without even leaving the building!
